Big fucking show up in Chantilly VA. Holla.

My question is, what's the norm for payment at something like this? Cash? Checks? CC? I have no idea  and don't want to carry around a lot of cash unless I have to...

don't you watch CNN? you don't need money at gunshows. the guns flow freely from waterfalls and people walk around handing out free full-auto AK47s with AP ammo.

You dont need money. All you have to do is walk in with a machete and rob that place. Nodoby will shoot you.:hsugh:

I'll be at the same one. Cash / CC is no problem usually., some places take checks. They've got an ATM there as well.

Maybe I'll walk out with an SKS, which I will use to shoot at law enforcement from miles away from me.

    Thanks for all the responses...

The ATMs over there are notoriously shitty...I go to the antique shows there and they are always out of cash or busted

Cash can go a long way in sealing a deal if you're trying to get the price down.

    .

Dealers like it cuz when you have all cash, everything goes alot smoother. Theres no waiting period of checks, and sometimes, a dealer might have to go out of his way to charge your credit card.

Not to mention a guy selling an older gun or more rare models will be older himself also, and doesnt like using newfangled technology.

They realize a guy carrying all 100 dollar bills is also more serious about his business. Something my dad told me when on a way to a gun show once.

Around here,w there arent good good deals, but yes you can find some deals. Others are selling what they are worth, and then theres the assholes, that charge $900 for a 91/30 and lie to you telli8ng you it was unfired. A wide array of guys at ours. Theres always the ammo too. Not rly anybody deals ammo there too heavily but one guy, and he charges decent prices. Cheaper than SN prices, and no shipping.

Ill bet he has any caliber of ammo youd want, and has pallets full of different calibers and countries of surplus. I think he had 3 different kinds of cases of 7.62X54R alone, not including the 3 or 4 brands of new production stuff he carried, last time I checked

I see some deals but mostly on odd ball stuff the dealer is just trying to move.

fucking just went to this one. Usually friday night it's packed at this one, but not this time. Or at least, not AS packed.

First time in a few visits I've actually seen big empty areas, tables that literally had nothing on them. Snagged a couple mags I've been looking for, mainly for my cx4 & my mini 30.

Went looking for a wasr 22, but didn't find any. Guy that had an assload of wasr 10's looked at me like I was crazy for wanting a 22.

The guy with the best deals at the shows around here also owns his own store and charges the same prices there. That doesn't mean that you can't find good prices elsewhere. You just can't expect to find tables full of good priced guns. It's usually easy to find good deals on ammo and accessories, though. If I don't pick up anything else I usually grab a box of MREs from a guy that always has em for $60 a box. The mil spec ones are getting harder to find.

Did you go to the last one at Gwinnett?

There were some good deals on new/used pistols, Saiga's, Garands, etc. Just had to look.

I got a few pistols at a pretty good deal. The guy that said it above is right-on: don't carry more money than you're willing to spend!
