I've aquired a free dell 17" crt monitor I'd like to hook up with my current crt 19" dell, which would help tremendously with my spreadsheets and online work. How would I go about doing this? I understand I will need a new video card but I'm not sure which one.

If anyone could please lead me to the right direction, I'd appreciate it.

I'm using the XFX 7600GT running 2 19'' Dell monitors through DVI and it works great. But I am also running 2 of those cards in SLi.

That card only runs in SLi with XP, thru Vista only one is utilized, and I still use a dual display. So far they work great and i haven't experienced any problems.

I don't want to buy two seperate cards unless I have to.

I'm not looking for amazing graphics or anything, more so for just microsoft office work and surfing the net/porn.

What if I got a card with one VGA and one DVI then I used a DVI>VGA adapter? This would work correct? A friend said he tried the DVI>VGA and he had no luck with it.

I've never had a problem with a DVI>VGA connector. Most cards include one in the box.
