Holy shit... I think I'll be able to pull that off. I always get bigger people in my guard and my legs are surprisingly flexible for someone that can't stretch very far when warming up. I'll have to try it a couple times and maybe put it to use in the upcoming tourny this sat :noes:

Yes he is, but this isn't an example of it. I learned that submission in my first month and I wouldn't consider myself knowledgable by any means compared to thses guys.

 If I got chocked out with that move I would feel like the biggest chump ever. It looks so impractical that to be caught in it would obviously be a statement of one's inability.

You must not understand the move because it is relatively easy to pull off.

Even though I said relatively easy to pull off not easy to pull off which are two different things, I'll still respond.

In the UFC, how often do you even see rubber guard? How often do you see the darsee? There are countless are things that you don't see that are effective and aren't attempted.

This happens in all new sports not just fighting and grappling. I was semi pro paintball before I started this and people didn't like to try new things in our events around the nation/world. There was too much at stake and high level competition is a whole different mindset. You are making the mistake of thinking that because something isn't being used frequently that it isn't effective.

E-warriors and armchair quarterbacks tend to do this with every sport though so I'll cut you some slack.

there are guys who try this stuff

    Jason chambers
    Gerald Strebendt
    Tait Fletcher
    schrembri

I wouldn't really class it as that practical for mma. Schrembri gets pounded every time.
