God I feel like a fag for asking this... v.17-Hydroxy-Mesterone

    Keeping it simple.

    Brother has very limited lifting exprience but needs to get his bench up for college lacrosse. I'm telling him to keep it simple (protein, multi, CEE) and hard work and he'll be fine. He's got nasty raw skill and good endurance so even if he's a bit short it won't kill him (despite being a top 15 DIII school).

    His friend told him to take 17-Hydroxy-Mesterone, and I've been looking at info on it but I'm a pretty big retard when it comes to the science of supplements (besides the most common ones).

    I told him to STFU and keep it simple for obvious reasons but I know in 11 days when he's at school he'll just buy it unless there's a good reason for him not to be on it. I'm drilling good knowledge into him but 1/2 his friends are on juice and spend their money on USELESS SHIT and tell him to also.

    I really just DON'T want him taking something that would come up on an NCAA drug test.

    I've googled and pubmed but I suck at both so.

    Being a recent graduate and playing lacrosse all throughout college at a high level I have to ask why is there such an importance on bench?

    Being an experienced player myself I'd stress forearm, back, and legs the most.

    Guys think their shot is from the chest... it's not -- it's from the back and forearm/wrist rotation.

    completely worthless. some products so named (similarly named) are actually designer steroids (primarily progestin based), this is not one of them.

    I have a friend whom I have played with all throughout college since our national championship game and he is the antithesis of a physical specimen but simply has great form and decent core strength (and naturally has legs roughly the size of tree trunks)...his shot about 105-107mph. I can attest to one year getting a bit too big too quick and getting slow and it took me a bit in that season to get my speed back. I have always worked on just being explosive, lots of hang cleans, snatches,etc and while benching is important in the overall scheme that alone is a poor indicator of functional strength for lacroose. I myself was/am a defender and didnt put much emphasis on the bench as compared to my other lifts. So as I said this makes no sense to me.
