i sold my 70-200 on ebay, and was all excited about getting a 135 f/2
the lady that won the auction gave me a call today and said

"i didnt realise it wasn't an IS lens, I'm 70 years old, i dont think i can hold it. i'm really sorry but i cant buy it"

i felt bad for her because she's 70 and almost dead anyway
so i just told her not to worry about it

i should've told her to get back on ebay and buy a life worth living

    soo
    anyone selling a cheap 135mm f/2? :x:

Should've said "And I'm sorry that by placing a bid on an item enters you into a binding contract to buy said item according to eBay."

You can get around that if you do a mutual withdraw.

Still fucking gay tho. I would have made he pay.

    Straight up.

You are on the hook for the Listing Fee regardless of the outcome, but you can mutually cancel to get a credit for the Final Value Fee. I have had buyers flake out and I ask them to send me $5 to cover having to list it again.

How does this even happen? Did she not notice that it's selling for 400 or so less than the IS price?

Probably hoping it would be a noob selling it and not realizing it's IS, then using the excuse that they're too old after winning and finding out it's non-IS. :squint:
