damn. how tall is he again?
he's way bigger than i thought. for some reason i was under the impression barely cut weight if any. must be his ballerina figure.
he starts cutting way before most people do.
When I met him I actually thought he seemed kinda small. Tall but lanky.
He has sharp elbow's, and knee's.
I always think of him as a tall bean pole type, but he seems to have packed on quite a bit of muscle since joining the UFC.
Good for the clinch.
i thought he walked around at 205 plus but started tapering himself down weeks before the fight to where he didn't have to cut much.
yup. but i think it's closer to 200. cant rmeember though.
When I met him he had already won the belt from Rich and was at the first UFC even in Oh to watch Rich's fight against Jason McD.
anderson silva is the fucking man. For some reason i want to see him loose- just once, cause i know he'll get the title back.
Ryo Chonan needs to move back up to 185.
in a recent interview, he mentioned that he walks around at 93kg (205lbs), hence why he couldn't fight GSP at a catch weight. GSP apparently walks around at 83kg (~183lbs)
Hasnt Anderson fought at 175 a couple times before?
yup, but i guess his base weight today is higher than before, so cutting that weight would be that much more difficult
I dont think that he could take Silva anymore.
First time was a total fluke. I just wanna see if it could ever happen again.
IIRC the ROTR Tournament where he got DQ'd against okaim was a 167 pound tournament.
if i recall correctly, Chonan was outpointing Silva on the feet the entire fight
but yeah, chonan doesn't stand a chance nowadays
I thought I read in some interview that he walks around at 97kg (~214lbs) when not preparing for a fight.
I remember being shocked at how well chonan started picking him apart. It's like Anderson forgot how to check a leg kick.
. Chonan beat him on the ground, held his own very well standing up...he was clearly winning that fight all the way. People like you are so annoying.
Could he do it again? No, probably not. But you cant argue chonan fought the perfect fight that night, and beat him more than fair and square.
chonan was losing up until the submission
