I just don't see much of a comparison. The silverado/sierra is a much better truck all around. I work at a Chevy/Toyota dealership and have driven both.

the new sierra looks so much better than the tundra, and the reviews for it have been good as well.

GM really needs to offer the six-speed auto in all of the trucks, not just the Denali.

From the article, the GM dude says:

"Tundra has always had 100,000 to 125,000 sales. So they're going to get 75,000 extra...To be honest, I don't think we'll feel it."

That's an increase in sales of over 75%, that's HUGE!

And what about the next model refresh? Another 75% sales increase for Toyota? Now they're getting 350,000 units? Is GM gonna "feel that"?

For reference, GM sells about 450k-500k in Silverados each year.

So if Toyota increases sales by 75% a few more times, they will overtake GM and this guy is talking like it's nothing. That's the problem with GM leadership... failure to look at the long-term picture. Ok, you outsell Toyota today, but what about 5 years from now? What about in 10 years? No plan to make any changes? Just keep doing what works today, crank out 11ty billion big SUV's :ugh:

    Morons.

Mr Peich of Volkwagen was poking around underneath the new Tundra as well.

And it's still nothing in the fullsize pickup market. If anyone is going to really feel anything it's going to be Chrysler.

    A moron is you.

I know that when I buy a car/truck I always make sure that the company I'm buying it from is the most profitable. :ugh2:
