Gmail autocomplete recipient address question

    when you are typing in the address of the recipient.. it drops down the autocomplete suggestions based on what you typed. How do I delete those email addresses from there?

    in for the answer... i am wondering this as well. i have old email addresses that are in there that have been updated... but i dont want them showing up anymore.

    lol douchebags, just delete the contact.

    ehh.. tried that. but to add to this answer, make sure you select view ALL contacts on not just frequently emailed contacts or whatever the default is. That fixed my problem.:o

    yep... gmail auto-adds any email addy you either receive or send to, which i hadnt noticed before. so i hadnt really noticed that there's a few extra in my All Contacts, one of which is the one i really wanted to get rid of.

    where would that setting be? i dont see it anywehre in the normal Settings page(s).
