A local company has purchased in the area of $150,000 in GMC 2500HD trucks over the past 3 years, and easily, on 75% of these trucks, the boxes have split, cracked, or have completely fallen apart.

The seams are splitting for no reason,
The taillights have fallen out of a couple because of the cracked boxes,
Pieces have fallen out of the boxes,
A couple have been welded back together, only to split and crack in other places.

Mechanically, we've replaced 2 transfer cases, one 5-speed transmission, 1 clutch/PP assembly, DOZENS of inner tire rod ends, 1/2 dozen outer tie rods, balljoints, probably 12-15 front bearing assemblies (~$400 each), calipers, axle seals, drive axles (at $1100 a pop)

And these are just on these company trucks. Multiply those figures by 4, roughly, and you'll tally up the general public's truck repairs we've had to do.

Yup, GM builds good trucks

We've seen many public-owned trucks with the same box-fall-apartness.

So you only service GM products?

...and that gash doesn't look like anything other than a stab.

yes there are a whole lot of import trucks that compete with the 2500HD/F250/Ram 2500 +

It's not a stab. There's cracks emanating from all around it, go up behind the tail light, and to the seam on the top of the box beside the tailgate.

There's a matching crack on the front.

I'd rather overload a Tundra/Titan than have a piece of shit truck fall apart around me.

    It's obviously the company...

Last construction company I worked for ordered 86 brand new GMC pickups of varying sizes. ~2003 there weren't any of those kinds of problems on them. And that's company trucks driven around massive piping/blacktop/excavating jobs.

yes but since there is no import that competes in that category, you can't even really compare. no matter how shitty gm/ford/dodge trucks are.
