Anyone know the specifics of the program? Like do you have to be actively serving to use it?

I'd like to pick up a G19 and 400 bucks for a new one would be pretty sweet but I was discharged last year. :hs:

If you were just discharged, aren't you still active reserve for 2 years or something? That should count. I want to say that retired mil/LE is still eligible too, but I don't recall 100%

Call up K5 in Milford, they're a Glock LE dealer.

Unless there is some special exception for LE sales, the answer would be no. Any handgun purchase would need to be sent to your FFL dealer in NY for transfer to you. A dealer in CT will not sell to you directly, they aren't allowed, per federal law.

He's a NY resident. You can't purchase a handgun directly from out of state. He could purchase from a shop in CT, but it would have to be sent to a FFL in NY, then transfered to him.

You cannot purchase a handgun outside of your state of residence without it being transferred though an FFL.

    (770) 432-1202, ask for LE sales. Then ask LE sales for a list of LE dealers in NY. I would think finding a local dealer would be less hassle than arranging an out of state sale.
