Need OT's opinion on which gun to get next. It will most likely be .40 cal since I have 3 friends that reload .40 I used to have gen 3 Glock 19 which I sold (wish I didn't) but I thought I'd try and get a gun that my regular shoot group doesn't have. H&K USP is about the only thing missing. So whats your opinions on the H&K?

if money isn't a factor, why not get the HK? if it is, go w/ a glock.

i've seen HK USP .40s go for as low as $500

if you look around, you can find a great deal on one.

I wouldn't rule out the HK if it's only for plinking but if you ever consider carrying it and you want a .40, go for the G23 :dunno:

The gay thing is guns are super expensive in canada. 500 wouldn't be shit honestly. I find G17s and 19s for 375 all day on glocktalk, here in canada they go for 800ish some are upwards of 1200! After you figure in current exhange rate its more than double. Samething goes for ammo. I wanna move back just cuz everything is so much cheaper! Right now my .45 is costing me about 120 a weekend to shoot. H&Ks are about 1000 to 1200 new here.

Im more looking for opinions on the quality of the gun in comparsion to the glock. Dont worry about the money right now hahaha.

I have no problem spending the money if the gun is reliable, relatively low maintenance, accurate.... pretty much what a glock is IMO. but I'd like to get something different too. I'll end up getting another glock down the road.

i'd say just get the glock.

they'll both do the same thing just as well, the HK just does it in style.

the price difference isn't worth getting an HK over a Glock.

OK noted. I know at one point I'll end up with both but which to get first hahaha.

as stated before, I've read accounts of people that have HK's and Glocks, and it seems unamimous that the Glock has a more durable finish.

as far as the internals, I dont know.

the HK is a sexy fucking gun.. and they have a wonderful DA pull.. but I prefer single-action or safe-action anyways :o

yea, the glock does have a more durable finish, but my HK finish is still pretty tough. real tight fit with all the parts, so it's got a reeeaal nice feel to it. although the loose fitting parts of a glock make it more durable. it all depends on what you use it for. if you're crawlin through dirt and sand, go for the Glock, if you're shooting at the range, and money's no object, get the HK.

It will be shot only at a range gun... again cant shoot a pistol (restricted) anywhere other than a range. Canadian gun laws are retarded.

either go north to alaska where gun laws are practically non-existant

or come down to CONUS, plenty of great states to choose from :wiggle:
