I'm sure this is like the Ford vs Chevy argument, but everyone around here(where I live) are huge Glock sack riders, so I can't get a good honest opinion. I have read review after review on each gun and come out more confused every article.

So I bought an OD green G26 a few weeks ago while looking for a new carry gun. I don't carry this all the time, since I have an LCP too. My initial impression was that the XD fit me a little better, but once I put a Pearce grip on, the G26 fit pretty well. I initially went up to buy the XD9 but with the price I was given on the G26, it was hard to pass up, so I went with it at the urging of the store employee.

I have shot both and have no clear opinion on which is better shooting. I liked both and am comfortable with both. I know Glock has the history behind it, but I guess I'm just looking to see if there is any compelling reason to go with the XD over a G26?

Anyone have a lot of experience with both that can weigh in? A little buyers' remorse I guess.

    Thanks

  2. If you don't have any preference one way or the other after giving them both a try, I'd stick with the Glock. While the XD is a fine gun, the Glock has an enormous after market, and a very long history of reliability.

I love XDs. I love Glocks more. They are both fantastic firearms. I shoot great with both. You're just going to have to test them both out and see what you like better.

There are a few people here with experience on both, but most of your replies are going to be from Glock whores.

I have an XD9SC. If you have the glock already and like it, stick with it. I've been carrying my XD in an MTAC for a little bit and it's heavy but I like it and shoot well with it. Both are great guns, of course Glock has a little bigger aftermarket and parts market :)

in 45 i will choose xd hands down, since glock 45's feel like shit in my hands

in 9mm, i think the glock 19 wins hands down.

the xd does have the advantage of a loaded chamber indicator which is easier to see/feel than my glock 19 (not sure if all are like that) and the firing pin indicator out the rear is also nice.

You cant really see it in the dark if youre using your sights. As your rear sight blocks it

Simplicity of taking a glock completely apart > Taking the XD apart

actually i'd be feeling for them but ok

  18. at l33t once again not knowing what he's talking about. I'm beginning to wonder if he's ever even held a gun. The Glock's loaded chamber indicator is excellent in that not only can it be seen and felt easily, but it also adds not a single extra part to the gun.

Well for one completely disassembling both guns is more than fliping a lever :hsughno:
