i have tons of .40 S&W ammo and just want a compact pistol to compliment my J frame (yes i want to carry 2 guns, paranoid,,yeah probably)

or should i just get the 9mm and have to buy a bunch of ammo?

or just go with the j frame only like i have been doing and save the $

i don't really care about spending a few bucks for a new gun though,,,,damn i hate the decisions

is there a drawback other than slight size weight difference?

as far as accuracy mainly is what i'm asking? the 27 has a shorter barell length than the 26 so is there a large accuracy difference?

If you have plenty of .40 and you are going to stick with it (with other guns as well, etc..) then go for the G27.

I had Glocks in 9mm, .40, .45 and really was tired of trying to find ammo in all calibers. I sold my G27 and G23 to consolidate my caliber needs.

With that said, the G27 was my first Glock ... damn outstanding gun.

The 26 and 27 are the EXACT same size. Loaded the 27 is less than an ounce heavier. The only difference is recoil and carry capacity.

awesome, recoil i can deal with and it's only like 1 or 2 round difference in capacity i think so i can also deal with that (especially since i'd have my jframe with 5 more rounds on my ankle :) )

I love my Glock 27, it just sucks that 40 ammo is so much more expensive that 9mm

possible, i think i'm leaning towards the 27 though, i already have .38, .357 .45 .44 .40 and would like to avoid adding 9mm to that list if the gun is pretty much the same except the caliber and 1 less round in the mag.

Can you do a barrel/mag swap on a 27 to make it shoot 9 easily?

If you don't stock 9 but do have 40, grab the 27.

And if that 1911 is going to keep collecting dust, more info on it and price? :x:

no selling any guns lol, i plan on dying some day with an arsenal locked in my gun cabinet :)

went with a 26 got a pretty good deal on it and sort of felt like something different than a .40 which i have in my beretta already. passed on the 30 because it was just a bit too big for concealment to be comfy enough to carry everyday.

    i figure the 26 is a nice compliment to my .38 s&w
now i'll have 2 guns and 15 rounds to stop a bad guy, if i need more than that i guess i suck at life and deserve to lose lol

Sure can and it works great.

Buy online...not that much more expensive then. Or get the 9mm barrel for practice.

Unless you're really sensitive to recoil, the difference between the .40 and 9mm in a g26/27 is negligible. Especially if you're shooting +p stuff.
