are these considered concealable guns - I know there are sub-compacts that are much smaller, but are these legit for carry?

    check this out.

if you're comfortable carrying it, it is considered concealable for you.

It all depends on your build, method of carry and the holster.
My roommate carries a 5" XD or a 5" 1911 in a Galco shoulder holster alot of the time. We both carry 4" or 3" XDs in IWB holsters. He uses an Answer, I use a Heritage or Galco. As he explained to me, you can end up spending more on holsters trying to find one that fits you because what may work for one person won't necessarily work for someone else. I know I can't wear a CTAC because the hard edges dig into my hip when sitting.

You try a crossbreed? Similar to CTAC, but not adjustable, big leather sweatshield and 30 dollars less than Comp Tac.

Just looked at their website. It looks just like a Tucker Answer but less finished. I am not a fan of that design. The heritage is better for me but the next one I am going to get is a Milt Sparks VersaMax II or a custom made one that's similar in design.

Wish I had that much versatility. Not a lot out there for the Steyr.

I can conceal my 4" XD with a cheap IWB holster. With a C.T.A.C. it would be even easier.

    I carry my 19 in a C.T.A.C.

Goto a gun store and try out different holsters. most shops worth a crap will let you.
