What is the policy regarding glasses in the USMC. If I remember they issue a pair in basic training. But what happens afterwards?

you can keep getting them for free from medical. just cheapo plastic things that won't stick on your face very well. some wear contacts; wouldn't recommend that when you're operating weapons though.

if you are special you can get lasik. Other than that you can get free bcg's and wire frames from medical.

I've had at least 15 pairs of eyewear issued to me since being in the fleet. 4 pairs of civilian style glasses that actually look half decent, 5 pairs of BCG's, 5 RX inserts for ESS glasses/goggles, and 2 gas mask inserts.

Too bad my prescription on all of them is royally fucked and I can't see shit out of any of them.
