So far I'm thinking a pink tie with a white shirt might look nice, or a light blue shirt with a dark blue/silver striped tie.

Give me more suggestions, pics would be better!

Also, the suit I just got is a Yves Saint Laurent 3 button deal, would it be possible to order a waistcoat of the same color/material? The suit store said no, but I'm hoping that they are wrong. :hs:

    pink & white ftw

depending on the true darkness of the gray, you could maybe do an oxblood/maroon and white/silver combination. i did that once on a whim and it turned out pretty well.

 Oo, good start, that looks nice. I think I saw some pink ties very similar to that today. I like patterned pink ties like the pictured one, but not striped pink ties.

Yea, it does seem really hard to pull off silver, imo.

Ugh, please don't do pink unless you do something truly original with it. I agree the pic posted above looks good, but it's because of the SUIT not the tie. Had he worn the exact same thing with a regular pinstriped suit I'd slap him for being so trendy.

I like your idea of a light blue shirt, and dark blue striped tie though. I'd go with that.

True, it's just nicer to look good without being trendy. Distinctive. :kdubb:

i completely agree, but i do feel discouraged from wearing certain clothes that i own/like due to too many people wearing similar stuff lately... i hate to wear things that are played out by everyone else... an example is my grey vest... i like it, but too many girls are wearing vests at the places i hang out at :hs:

i don't think pink ties are played out though
