Using AlienSkin's Snap Art, I can turn your picture into a painting, THEN print it on canvas...

What does OT think of this sunset I'm playing around with?

The brush strokes don't look right to me, they seem to much like the texture on a textured ceiling.

I'm not too crazy about it. Nice photo though.

great idea, but the brush stroking is way too heavy.

also, if, from a normal viewing distance, you can easily see that there is not actual texture on the paper, just "fake" looking brush stokes....then I would find that very aggravating and off-putting.

yeah I think the strokes look too randomized to really look like someone painted it.

well, it'll be on canvas, and i'm gonna paint on the 2nd coat of clear to give it texture... But I do agree that the brush strokes are waaay too heavy...

They're the same shot, just at full frame and 100% crop....

Don't they sell the actual canvas w/the paint textures on it already? I would think that's a better option.

And the re-edit one looks a lot better. Gets my thumbs up.

Oh, cool. Yeah, I liked the golden gate much better too. Other people have confused the two shots in the first post of being different pics, thought you were doing that too...

Glad you guys like the re-edit a little better, I think the first one was me getting a little too happy with the sliders...

    practice makes perfect, right?
