What a fucking close to the Whedon/Cassaday run. Totally worth the wait. God.
Whedon needs to get on a Spider-man book, STAT.
I was let down, until Kitty Pryde died then I was like ok, I'm back in.
Having all the Marvel characters get all cozy in that space fortress or whatever kinda was annoying and didn't seem to fit with all that was going on in the previous 24 issues.
Yeah... he could've used them a lot better, but I still thoroughly enjoyed that issue. I wonder what that one panel with the hand was about at the end.
she's not dead brah
It was really great, but didn't really fit with the whole continuity... Yes, i know Astonishing operates out of that, but that's mainly been with just the X-Men team. Weren't they at that point all still against each other? And they still are to this point, atleast to Secret Invasion. It just stuck out as like a sore thumb, that's all.
Otherwise, a fantastic ending to a great saga
I wanted more closure with Kitty.
But wait... why did everyone start hallucinating?
magic bullet metal
Against each other? I believe this was pre-Messiah Complex. Which would explain the absence of Kitty and Peter.
The magic that took out Strange I think....
Why didn't it affect Spidey?
it did effect him. he just snapped out of it first
What Corz said.
Oh and bowdown to ord. That was awesome. I think I'm going to re-read this actually becuase I feel as though I dreamed half of the stuff I want to complain about.
I meant the other superheroes. It's not pre-civil war, so, it wouldn't make much sense to have them all there.
They kind of covered that with this half assed reason. That stretch of the comic seemed a bit "oh explain it with magic" kind of shit. The way it was done seemed like they were trying to parody comics in a way. with their quick solution to saving the day, banding together against all odds cliche comic book ending, then all that was rendered pointless by magic.
all of this happened WAY before messiah complex, this issue took place probably right around WWH. since the x-men/hulk mini had the astonishing cast in it, sans kitty. i knew right then that she wasn't the one coming back.
and i liked ord as soon as i figured out he wasn't the brains of the bunch (pun intended, he's an idiot) but i loved how his story ended.
and talk about creating a character and setting them up for absolutely anything.
Yeah. The redemption and him just burning to death in front of Colossus was pretty
I hope Agent Brand gets used more. I hope she has a nice piece to play in Secret Invasion.
Which also leads me to wonder... since SI takes place long after these events.... and Beast seemingly joined S.W.O.R.D ..... why wasn't he on the Peak when it blew?
and i'm pretty sure what she did to him constitutes a felony in north america
I don't know any laws prohibiting alien descended women having sexual intercourse with a half animal, half man... man....
