my gf of about a year and a half is going to be graduating college in a few days. i will be there for her graduation ceremony but will not be able to make it to her actual graduation party.

i need to know what to get her as a present for graduation - i dont care what it costs.. and this is hte girl i wanna marry. her rents and family are gonna be there so i dont want to be too flashy i think. i think i am going to get her flowers and a card for sure.. but i also want a present for her.. i think im going to get her a frame that she can hang her tassle in and buy her a really nice present.. but i dont know what.. any ideas???

Don't worry about impressing the family. Give her something that means something to the two of you.

:werd: if it can be something meaningful enough to her that she busts out crying when she sees it or something, that's all you need. Her family will be impressed that you're that "in tune" with her.

That works; but it's kind of impersonal to some extent. Now, if you bought her the iPod and then loaded it up with her favorite songs (that she doesn't already own) and/or a playlist of songs that mean something to both of you, THAT would be a great gift.

Just remember that you can only hook an Ipod up to 1 comp, so you'd have to have access to her comp.......unsupervised.

negative ghostrider as long as you set the ipod to "manual upload" you can hook up to as many computers as you want.

 @ guys shopping for bags. I wouldnt want my bf picking jewerly for me except for maybe earrings or something. A good pair of diamond studs (real or fake) would be a great addition to her wardrobe they match everything even being naked, which is ftw for you.

ok well this wasnt my thread but i had an idea i suggested. i pitched the idea of getting an ipod, and i went out and did that. but before i upload some songs on it that are meaningful to us, whats this about the ipod only being able to hook up to 1 computer? i dont have an ipod myself, i have a zen so i dont know much about ipods. can anyone enlighten me on this? i dont want to open it and plug it in my comp and have it screw everything up =\. thanks.

That's not true. If you are using iTunes, the iPod will allow you to hook it to up to 5 computers. And, if you want, you can put the music on the unit and then "de-authorize" your computer from interacting with the iPod. All she'd have to do is go in and authorize her own computer(s) to work with it.
