Ok we've been going out about 2 months now. She is 21 and has graduated college and working while I am 22 and am a student....just a little background.

Anyways her birthday is coming up in 2 weeks and I'm looking for a gift. I'm not sure what to really get her...gift ideas?

I didn't know whether a picture of us or something more materialistic is a good gift at this stage. Any ideas you have would be great:coolugh:

Whatever you do, don't give her $182 in cash and a card referring to her as your "pal."

Since its only been 2 months, I would keep it small...I always get stuck in this shit where I feel like I have to beat the last gift

Someone must have watched Seinfeld yesterday.

    :rofl::rofl:

    Awesome episode.

To the OP, just a small gift that shows thoughfulness, rather than the size of your wallet, is probably a good bet. You need to find a way to show her you are a romantic, thoughtful gentleman, without being creepy and/or materialistic.

Then again, what do I know.. I'm married.

You're kidding! I honestly don't have a tv right now, but most of the episodes that I've watched have been burned into my synapses.

    Another reality apparently
. I wouldnt spend much at all, if anything. Gifts this early in a relationship need to be heartfelt and well thought out...not necessarily extravagant.

Keep it simple, keep it cheap, but keep it sweet. Don't stress over it either, its only been two months.

Where do you want me baby?!
I remember when I first met my ex boyfriend I mentioned that I needed some work out stuff for school, and my birthday was a couple weeks after we got together and he just got me some pants and a shirt to work out in. He remembered a small little comment and I thought that it was pretty cool. He prolly spent 20 bucks.

SO if you can just think of something she mentioned she needed or looked at. Get that

exactly!! try to think of something she's mentioned or oohed at while you were together. I love getting small stuff with some thought behind it. i got two lighters for my last birthday from a friend of mine and i loved them because he knew i loved pigs and the lighters happened to be pig lighters :)
    good luck!

I vote for the cake baking!! Good Idea! Personalize it somehow.
I have been with my SO for a little over a year and a half and I would still be happy if he baked me a cake. Or even made me a card or something.

I like the picture idea. Don't go overboard, but just buy a nice frame for it, put the picture in it, and there's your gift.

Don't get her something romantic, get her something you think she will like that you would get her if she was a friend - if she likes reading, get her a book you think she'll like; if she likes music, get her a cd; if she likes movies, get her a movie, etc.

Taking her out to a nice dinner (romantic date) but getting her a fun gift will be just the right balance of thoughtful without going overboard

What does she like? My woman would die for:

    Redskins stuff
Tickets to "Inside the actors studio"
$300 gift cert at United Colors of Benetton.
    Sushi dinner.
    Tickets to a play downtown.
    Lingerie
Maybe a sex toy on the side :naughty:

Thanks for the replies everyone. I think the something small but meaningful idea is great...now just to find that meaningful thing.

And on the car wash idea...her company pays for her car and getting it washed..lol

lmao, YES YOU CAN! Candles would suck.

At your early stage you can't buy too big, it's weird. Making something, anything at all would really mean a lot
