yes, i know this isn't terribly freaky, but i'm asking anyway. i'm going to get my cooter waxed for the first time on saturday, and i'm not sure what to expect. the spa i'm going to came highly recommended by a friend of mine, so i'm not worried about pain or anything, but i *am* worried about looking stupid because i didn't know what i was doing. is there anything i need to know before i go?
i've always shaved, but it's getting ridiculous and tedious, and it's never as neat as i'd like.... i'm embarrassed to post my bits on here b/c of that. (maybe once it's waxed and looking pretty i'll post pics:naughty: :mamoru: )

thanks in advance, and sorry it's not freaky (yet ;) )

One of my exes had it done. It hurt, but was worth it for the sensitivity during oral afterward.

Oh.. and don't forget to tip the person.. didn't realize that was common practice to tip for that.

Take two advil before going. My girl always does, when she forgets she's sore afterwards. But I do love Brazillian waxes.

My first time wasn't too bad. It is a little strange/funny to be sitting there with nothing on down below with this woman you don't know goin at your bits ;)

But the results are awesome...make sure to buy a loofa(sp?) to scrub with after to help prevent ingrown hairs!

    enjoy :)

i will definitely take some advil - thanks for the heads up.

this may be a really stupid question, but as i said, this is my first time - what is the difference between a "bikini wax" and a "brazilian wax" and which do you recommend? i'm guessing brazilian but i just wanted to ask ;)

edit: after googling both 'bikini wax' and 'brazilian wax' i see that only brazilian includes butt waxing? sadly, i need butt waxing  i did read that brazilian is not for the faint of heart, but my pain threshold is not too low. perhaps i ought to just take the plunge and have it all removed? hell, it's only hair. it'll grow back if i don't like it, right?

I have had a french bikini and a brazilian...the differences i noted were

    1. yep the do your butt :p
    2. The inner folds of your vagina also get waxed (in a french bikini they stop at the outer folds)

if the folds thing makes sense...hmm how else to explain? lol the "delecate" parts also get waxed!

anyways this is me just rambling...:p let us know how it goes!

Bikini is generally the stuff you would see OUTSIDE of your bikini bottoms.
I swore by brazilian waxing for so many years.
If you are going to get it done, you might as well rip it all out :)
You seriously can't feel it after a while.
It only takes like 5 more minutes to get the other stuff off anyway.
And if you are going to shave it off anyway (?) you might as well wax it!
    It's good stuff :)

I have been getting waxed for years - LOVE it. I haven't found a place here in Charlotte yet (weekend project) so I've been shaving and UGH I hate it. Waxing hurts, but I have this great anesthetic spray that really, really helps. Also, don't put lotion on the area for several days following - clogged pores can make sensitive skin worse. Something like BikiniZone is good, though.

I can barely get my eyebrows waxed without tearing up, I dont know what I would do if I got my cooch done. I think im going to get my upper lip done here soon. :noes:

I do have a few questions though if I ever decide about not being such a sissy.

How often do you get it done?

How quickly does the hair grow back?

Does it grow back differently than before waxing, like before coarse and thick after wax finer hair?

Depends on how fast your hair grows.
Mine used to grow back every 5 weeks or so.
The lady who did my waxing said hers grows back in two weeks so now she gets laser (eek).
So it all just depends. How quick does the hair on your legs grow back after shaving?
You only need the hair to be like .5cm long before you can wax again. So when it starts growing back you don't need to wait too long until you can wax again.
It doesn't grow back any different. There have been studies of a man who waxed a 3inch patch of his leg and shaved another 3inch patch on the other leg for a whole year, and the amount of hair/thickness didn't change at all.
So although people SAY it reduces your hair growth, I'm pretty sure you would need to wax for a few decades to damage the follicle enough for PERMANENT hair removal/reduction.
I'm not going to say how much it hurts, because I have high pain tolerence verging on pain junkie. But if you can get numbing sprays there, maybe you should do that if you are worried.

I get it done once a month usually. I'm sure everyone's hair regrows at different rates, but I have "stubble" starting at about two and a half weeks out. The thing is, it's really soft and thin when it grows back so it's not itchy or ugly.

So you don't get red dotties; Make sure to exfoliate lots and lots. Then your skin will stay silky smooth even when you are getting re-growth :)

I was about to ask that too...

I shave...I like it and my GF(well..just recently my ex as of a month ago) loved it...

the little stubble period afterwards is always annoying...especially when it grows back after a day or two...

    ***
I think I would feel uncomfortable asking too...let alone the fact that some random person is going to be handling my junk while they tear out my hair...

I'm shy enough as it is... :o

I LOVED the time i got my brazillian waxes done. the first 2 pulls hurt but after that the endorphins kicked in and i was on cloud nine. I also had the good fortume of going to a very good, nice lady. I'd continue to do it, but i'm on a budget and waxing takes up a bit of money that would be better spent on groceries.

Have fun and good luck. The soft feel of a warm pussy after a wax is AMAZING.

i was reading an article recently where a guy went in to get waxed for the first time, and he trimmed prior to going into the waxing place...they said that was a bad idea and that it was less painful if he hadn't trimmed before coming in.

    :dunno:

If the hair is TOO short it'll hurt more becasue thw ax sticks more to the skin and it take smore pulls to get all the hair. the hair should be no shorter than 1/4 inch and not much longer than a 1/2 inch.. it's best to just let the wax specialist trimt he area for you pror to waxing..
