s2k is cheaper than the z right now. s2k can be bought $16k and the z usually around $20k.

i have had both a track z and a S2000. i currently only own the S2000 and will never buy a Z again. That should tell you something right there. Overall the S2k has a better build quaility and its just a blast to drive more so than the z. Yes the z can be made to be faster than the s, but it just feels too dull still to me anywayz. The s2k just feels raw and fun like the cars of the old days. so i vote s2k

the s2k, imo as well, is the better car.

It's not that we have ehardness for it, but that most people prefer the car because it is more responsive.

to tell you the truth i don't miss the tq of the z. Now the tq or thrust of a evo or such i liked. Either way the s2k is adequete enough for around town.

i'm not a huge fan of the S2K. I have driven a couple and driven a couple of Z's and i really like the Z over the S2k. Just more fun to drive.

depends what you want. If you want a convertible, get the S2K. Hardtop, get the Z. You should go sit in both cars as well and see which interior suits you. The Z should have a little more space. I found the Z to be really grunty. S2K is very peaky. Both can be fun. Make sure to drive both quite a bit before you make your decision. Good luck!

    Z > S2k

I guess it depends what you're looking for. I'm a huge Z fan while a close buddy is a huge S2k fan. I can respect his s2k fettish because that's what he's looking for.

If you're looking for go-kart/race car dynamics than the S2k fits the ticket. However, if you're looking for refinement, features, size, comfort, versatile power band go with the Z. The way I see it is the Z's performance is GREAT and the S2k's is EXCELLENT (handling performance wise), while the S2ks features are pretty CRAPPY while the 350z are pretty GOOD. Also, the VQ engine is to die for in terms of power delivery and sound.

    350z FTW!

S2k just for pure fun factor. the Z feels like a pig compared to the honda. BrianV makes a good point though, both have some characteristics that the other is missing so it'll ultimately come down to what's more important to you. take myself, i'm not a big guy and find the S2k fits like a glove while anyone bigger than me might find it a squeeze. these are roadsters so refinement and comfort and a long list of features aren't a priority for me in a roadster. a well tuned suspension topped with a generous, albeit peaky power and a near perfect balance is what i look for and you don't get any better than the S2k. test drive both and see which you like. both are good cars, i just prefer the S2k.
