    Fucking shit...

I have been stressing myself out over it for a while, feeling like I was getting the shaft. Well, in all reality, I just hit my primary last month, so I think I did about as good as you can considering my MOS and such...

    MOS: 94E
    Points dropped to: 721
    Picked up with: 722 points!
Time in service on OCT 1st: 3 years, ONE month!

    Not too shabby!

I was the last one out of 10 to get picked up this month!

By the way, the points for my MOS have not dropped since sometime in 2004. They dropped last month and I figured I was fucked. It all worked out though.

    Turbo...be nice... :wtc:

I had to wait 11 months before I put on E-5, and 9 months for E-6. So I know all about waiting.

Congratulations! E-5 is a great and fun rank to be. You learn so much and it prepares you nicely for the supervisor/leadership role of an E-6.

I left the Marine Corps as a SGT to pick up a sniper rifle for the Army.

    CULTURE SHOCK!

I personally don't see ANYTHING........AT ALL, worth celebrating the rank of SGT other than a pay raise. The reverence of SGT just doesn't seem to be what I'm used too. Now as a SSG I still have yet to see a distinction in the ranks. I decided to leave infantry..and now I"m AG...and it gets worse. LOL....

...but I will congratulate you. I think I come from a different place.

I can agree with you. There are a lot of idiot E-5s who get promoted for doing nothing. Many are too young and lack life experience to do anything worth while. Then you have the E-5s who have been in 16 years and still cannot make E-6...

it seems like a busted rank overall, but i plan on not being busted myself...

    I use a screwdriver too!

    be less jealous, please.

and by the way, I got a 10k bonus for joining...to be a "button pusher"

I serve, millions of other people don't, so hate on them, not me :ugh:

I am highly involved in our Battalion's MOUT training and i fired 40/40 first try with kneeling, not too shabby for fixing CCI all day...

So how long are you going to have Weasel pushing for? :o

I think every time you see him he gets to do ten for his *ahem* mistake.

    wow..what a champ!

Congrats on your promotion. My wife is picking up E-4 on the 1st. She told me that they are giving 50 points to those that reenlist, so I guess I would have made Sgt the month after I got out had I reenlisted. I'll be picking up on IRR though..hah
