Im not going to name any names, but lets just take 2girls1cup for example.

Im sure it wasn't there video, just one that was found on the internet. They created a domain and basically made all the money off of it. Cant they get sued for that ?

I see so many of these sites now. Someone sees a new bandwagon, so they throw up a website ASAP to make a quick buck.

it's not like cojones(since that's the example you used) made the video or anything. I see what you're saying but for these video sites I really don't see where the problem is. It's not like you're taking some ones written content, big difference there imo:dunno:

oh and you've done this as well bro

It's surely illegal, and if it's done the person who owns the content can demand royalties. However, the 2g1c situation was kind of sticky since that film was from Brazil (I think). Now, I know shit about international law, or any law for that matter, but it could have been a case of the video owners had no jurisdiction in the situation :dunno:. Either that or they never saw it. If they knew how big it got, they would definitely demand the royalties.

but that was from cojones. He spends thousands of bucks every month on useless shit. I made the domain because i knew he would be stupid enough to buy it off me... which he did.

In the case of 2g1c, that video was a trailer. There was(and is) also a link to the copyright owner in the footer, which makes it perfectly legal. It's like writing a paper and using a quote from whomever, then giving credit in the footnotes.
