ive had my D50 and all my new equipment for about 3 weeks now, and still havent gone shooting once (other than walking around my apartment and messing around).

fucking 20 degree weather is killing me. think im gonna try to go to a museum in DC next week or something where I can shoot indoors.

Dont be a bitch...suck it up and get out there. It's been like 20 degrees here too (with a shitload of wind) and I've still managed to get out there and shoot. Just layer up or something.

The only thing I mind being cold is my hands.

Most of the time tripods aren't allowed because they get in other people's ways. Just gotta crank up the ISO and/or buy some mad fast lenses.

If there's an ice storm you better go shoot it. I'm dying to shoot an ice storm.

Otherwise... I feel you, I hate shooting in cold weather too, even with a nice pair of gloves.

the same week I bought my 18-200mm VR I shot my friend driving a rally car (dust EVERYWHERE) and some enormous waves shooting spray up higher than the cliff I was standing on (salt water EVERYWHERE).

just get out there and use it. i wish I had time at the moment.
