So.. My girlfriend likes to play Sims 3 right now on the computer. She plays fighting games with me on my PS3 whenever also.... Fighting games like DC vs MK... Marvel Ultimate Alliance.. And even Shooter games, so she is a veteran gamer I would think when it comes to playing games in general...

Anyways, She told me she USED to play WOW a long time ago with her dad... And that she likes the idea of playing with me in a game... And she has expressed that she likes sorcerer type characters... So I am trying to think of what game I should introduce her to first to see if she would be interested in playing them with me. Right now I have access to Aion, LOTRO, Warhammer Online, and I can re-up my sub to WoW to let her see that... I figure if I can't find a game between those to get her started onto them, then it may be a lost cause atm..

So what do you guys think would be a good intro into MMO to help me get her gaming with me?

If she used to play WoW then why not just stick with that? It is probably one of the most beginner friendly MMO's out there.

Well I haven't asked her about how she felt about it too much... I don't want her to start playing and then be like "Oh, now I remember why I don't play this game..." and stop playing... So I need to ask her more about her past playing it before I just drop us into wow

Just sign up for 2-10 days trials and have at it. If she likes it you can activate that account for her and re-up your old account. :dunno:

not what you're looking for but also consider "Borderlands." Diablo 3 when it's out too.

Alrighty so I am going to set us up to have her try out WoW this weekend... She mentioned she likes Sorcerer type characters so I am guessing she may be going with a Mage or Warlock... What would be my best class to stick with to buff her character? I was thinking maybe a druid or shaman that has some type of int buffs? I've not really played healer type classes in WoW so I don't know much about them... Last time i played a character like that was a Druid in DAoC, and I liked it quite a bit more than I thought I would have at the time... So this will be a "new" experience for me as well...

She'd probably like Warlock better than mage.

warlock is a bit easier since it is a pet class...if she gets in trouble she can run away leaving her pet to take the beating and die.

Be prepared for the consequences of getting her into an MMO :squint:

I got my Ex into WoW, and she ended up leaving me for a dude she met in game.
