$1 a round here I come.. I am only buying 20
getting your hands on as in renting? or buying?
They're good guns, but very impractical much like Desert Eagles. The recoil isn't very bad with Raging bulls either. The barrel length and the muzzle break helps a great deal.
ALOT of people hunt with .454s
Yep, the 454 is a fantastic hunting handgun. I would love to have either a 454, S&W 500 or even a DE .50 to use for deer hunting.
ALOT of people dive off 10 story buildings too. Does that make it a good fucking idea?
Yes, it's an effective round. But why would anyone want to hunt with a fucking handgun other than to be different?
Use a rifle, fuckhat. You might just save a deer a leg when you miss.
atleast have some idea of what you're talking about before you post.
I take it you don't do anything but shoot cans. I have been hunting with a handgun for over 18 years now and usually use a Ruger Super Redhawk .44
Go back to reading your gun mags.
Tell you what, send me that 454 so it can be used for what it was built and intended for and I will get you a nice little .22 that's more your speed there Slick.
500S&W > that
Because it's more of a challenge. Some people actually like a challenge, believe it or not.
Going shooting with a buddy that has one... I have shot it before. The recoil is uncomfortable at times, but the ported barrel elimates the muzzle flip.
Yes, you can shoot .45 colt (.454 is essentially a longer and stronger .45 colt case).
Some people use pistols for boar hunting too, crazy if you ask me
my friend told me he was thinking about going wild pig hunting with it
I would be worried about wounding the boar and not being able to kill it, have you seen that picture of boarzilla? I would rather take that out from far away, in a tree stand, with a nice .50 cal
I dont have any reloading manuals here so I dont know what the dimensions of the cases are Lynn Thompson (the guy who owns Cold Steel) has taken every dangerous animal in Africa with a Freedom Arms .454 Revolver
stupid question is if a .454 Casul can shoot a .45lc.. can a .45lc revolver shoot a .454 round?
probably not but hmmm
I want to trade my .45lc Raging Bull in for a .44mag so bad
I was hunting (turkey so i had a .20 guage) with my dad in Texas about 10 years ago and we saw about 6 boars in a field about 200 yards away. He was like I only have 6 rounds in my .45 so maybe we better steer clear.
Go ahead do it, assuming you don't value your hands/face/life.
