    During:

This is the first time I saw my car since I dropped it off, and it was a little tough to see. It looks like a junkyard car :(

Bumpers, fenders, all moulding and most of the decals are off

The fenders are mostly repaired and down to the metal.

You can see where he welded up the antenna hole and has to fill it in.

And this is one victory for me. A manual hatch latch. Fuck the power one, I sold it today lol

Its coming along. His other work is slow now so he's hinting that he'll be done soon. Thats cool, I'm ready when he is. He's going to replace the glass soon I think.

    I'm nervous.

same colors white/charcoal grey but no decals or moulding. Going for the clean look, and a set of these in 18x9.5 on all 4 corners with charcoal centers and the same lip as the rims I have now.

To be determined but I've beat a mid 12 second Mercedes a few times, and ran neck and neck with a GSXR1000 with a horribly shitty driver

Love me some 3rd (and 4th) Gens. Formula 350's were the cars to not challenge back in the day around my area. Pretty badass- I have a Formula as well. What cam is in there? That idle sounds mean.

Its a popular Lloyd Elliot LT1 cam. 224 232 duration, .535 .535 lift with 1.5 rockers (I'm running 1.6s) and a 109 LSA. The idle is a little better now with a tune, and the car drives really nice. It surges sometimes in parking lots but other than that its fine. She's a goddamn rocket on the highway :)

I walked into the body shop today and saw a pile of my car on the ground.

Looking good :) Are you doing the prep yourself and farming the actual painting out?

Oh, OK cool. I saw the garage and just wondered. I've done a few garage preps to save a few bucks (as well as some garage paint jobs:hs: ).

aftermarket fiberglass spoiler has a twist to it...hope it doesnt take too much to get it right! Also got a repro decal kit from www.phoenixgraphix.com today. In two months they will also offer the lower stripe, which NOBODY has reproduced yet. Is this stripe too 80s? Red part is top of the stripe, fading into charcoal grey which is the bottom color on my car.

Maybe a little. It's hard to tell from the pic you showed.

But... who cares? It's an 80's 3rd gen. It'll look good.
