I changed up my routine a little bit that i seem to be getting alot more sore the next day. Im getting so sore i cant go to the gym 2 days in a row and dont know why. I actually cut my gym time down to about 1 hour 10 mintues and shortned my between set times. I dont know why, but im getting much more sore and it sucks.

Im trying to gain muscle mass and i used to spend about 2 hours in the gym about 4-5 days a week. No i go the gym 3-4 times a week and for some odd resaon im actually getting bigger with putting less time in.

You don't grow while working out...you grow from recovering from working out. You have more recovery time now than you did before.

stretching doesn't make you less sore

    bull shit!

If I'm sore as hell and I do a warmup, the soreness is relieved for a while... but then I'm just as sore as before when my muscles cool down... But if I stretch after warming up, I'm way less sore after cool down than I was beforehand.

Be careful, Ceaze will post a 10 page article on the detriments of stretching.

I always found that playing some basketball to cool down after lifting helped with the soreness :dunno:

    physical placebo :wiggle:

I really don't care what the article says.. If I do some stretching before and after, it makes a difference, whether it be small or big.

Your muscles aren't getting the recovery they need.

    What supplements do you take?

Any physical therapist worth his bones will tell you that you need to stretch your tight muscles and strengthen your weak ones to keep your whole body in check.

I mean, this should be pretty obvious...

Yeah, I dont see the problem here.

I guess reduce the weight if you dont want a good workout and are afraid of being sore the next day.

That's not true about not getting the recovery they need...especially if you can get sore from just doing different exercises.

I am now a definite believer in BCAA's for reducing DOMS.
