I store an abnormal amount of fat on my stomach. Love handles, belly, etc. The thing is, I don't have fat anywhere else. I've been watching my diet closely since August of 06, and working out regularly. My routine used to consist of waking up at 5:30 to hit low intensity cardio (HR around 150) for an hour, going to work, and then hitting the weights in the evening. I kept that up from August to December, and then hit a promotion which caused me to work later than normal. I switched it up again to lifting 5x a week, followed by 30 min cardio. Things I've noticed: - weight has pretty much maintained; I started out at 189, and now fluctuate in between 175-180. - I've definitely gained muscle mass; arms, chest, back, shoulders, etc are quite a bit bigger, and I am lifting heavier. - fat loss seems to be happening on arms/ chest / face, but my stomach is still the *exact* same size. This is usually what I have to eat on a daily basis: - steel cut oats w/ splenda - banana - apple - orange - english muffin - sandwich on whole wheat - avocado, sprouts, onions, tomatoes, lettuce, pepperjack cheese - soup - 3x whey/water - salads it seems as though i store ALL my fat on my stomach! I by no means *look* fat, but when the shirt comes off...its just pissing me off I'm 5'11'', 178 lbs (today), and....am getting discouraged. I do understand that it takes time to get in shape, but I would have figured i'd lose SOME fat off of the stomach by now! any thoughts would be much appreciated....I hate being skinny-fat.
