Getting clay stains off of a Jeep's sailcloth soft top?

I was wondering if you guys could give me some advice. I have a black sailcloth soft top on my Jeep and in a few spots I have some stains from that nasty red East Texas clay getting on there. How would you go about trying to get that out? I've tried hot soap and water with a rag and a brush, I've let it soak and I tried a generic all purpose cleaner... none of that did anything. I was thinking of trying simple green but I don't see why that would do anything either. Any ideas?

Have you tried the above then using a wet vac to help extract the dirt?

No I haven't tried that but I doubt it'll work, there isn't really any "dirt"... the spots are clean, they're just stained red. :hs:

There are a few cleaners especially for red, but mostly for stuff like red drinks, etc.

You might want to join at http://autopia.org and ask there in the main detailing forum.

Thanks Scott, I really want the stains off even though they don't really hurt anything. :o
