Hey guys, i know everyone in here has respect for their weapons and will argue up and down they know how to handle them. but i just want to say be careful out there at the range/hunting..whatever.

an older guy i have been hunting with for years just accidently killed himself yesterday by loading his "loaded" 12ga in his case..he started to put the shotgun in his truck and the gun discharged blasting him right in the chest killing him in his driveway :wtc:

take time to follow the basics no matter how small or stupid you think they are.

    happy shooting

Sorry to hear. Alot of shit happens like that with hunters, taking weapons out of vehicle, cases, putting them back in, weapons they didnt know were still loaded from the year before, and what not, When I go hunting I dont load the rifle till I'm in the field and I unload it before putting it back up. My handguns are the only weapons I keep hot.

i'm the same way. my shotguns don't have a shell in them until i'm in the field and don't leave the field with a shell in them.

but whatever his reason, it happened

People are stupid. It's going to sound mean when I say this, but it's the truth:

There is no such thing as a firearm accident. There is only firearm negligence.
