I've been making excellent muscle gains in the last few months.... but lately I notice a gut forming....

What is the best way to trim down without losing muscle

I know this has probably been covered a billion times in this forum but after reading it for an hour I still can't find a straight answer :squint:

I'd personally reduce overall calories but still remain over maintainence, so you're bulking still but not so much that you become a big fatty. :dunno:

Just do a bunch of sit ups and reduce your caloric intake. Your gut should go away then

Yea you need to decide what a reasonable amount of fat gain is.

How much time you plan bulking and how much weight you want to gain will dictate how much fat you will gain. ie if you try to put on 20lbs in a month obviously you'll put on more fat than if you put 20lbs on in 2 months.

Set yourself a weight goal and a bf% that you don't want to go over and figure out how long it will take to get there without going over the bf%.

my next question is how exactly do you cut (should the need be)?

While cutting lifting is stopped? but cardio continues?
