I purchased my iPod less than a year ago, we grew together, got scratched together, restarted together and so on...

But last week, my iPod just died on me. It wouldn't sync, it would display images of sad iPods, it would take forever to go to the next song, it was plain broken.

I'm not sure if it's because I've taken it jogging (clipped to my waist) or because I leave it in my cupholder when I drive or if when I leave it in my front jeans pocket (wetness on a hot day?), or the time salad dressing got into it and I had to suck it dry to get the thumbwheel to work again...

BUT, let's not get into my personal life...

Anyway, it's sad to see my current iPod go. It's a 4G, and it's being replaced with a 4G, so I'm good. Wouldn't have minded the new color one, but beggers need not be choosers!!!!

:wiggle: I wonder what will christen my first scratch :noes: :run:

Maybe I'll buy a hard case so the HD doesn't get damaged this time.

Any ideas on what I could do to avoid a damaged HD again? Thanks...

Plan on getting one of the hard shells when I get my iPod. Won't leave the box without it.

Hmm...it's as thick as a credit card, but there doesnt seem to be anything that protects it from shock....

I do like some of their designs though!

Just get a flash mp3 player, hard drives aren't meant to be jostled around no matter what case you have.

I got the $6 "warranty" from Best Buy. When I'm ready to get the next gen Shuffle I'll toss mine in the microwave & bring it in for the win.
