Gettin back in gym, need a routine

    I used to work out 2-3 years ago.. anyways gettin back in gym to primarily lose some weight.. i'm thinkin of goin 5 times a week..

    i was thinkin of running/playin ball for like 30 minutes, then gettin in the gym to lift a little.. maybe 3 sets each of (not really heavy but enough to tire me out by 10 reps):

    chest/legs -abs
    biceps/triceps
    shoulder/back -abs
    chest/legs
    biceps/triceps -abs

    or something like that i dunno.. i wanna be lifting as much as i can so i can lose weight... i lost alot of weight 3 years ago from workin out, it was magical lol

    yea man... no problems lol... i'm ready to put the work in.. i've been through that once already.. and i was huge by the time i stopped working, graduate high school, came to college and put on weight.. lol.. time to get back in shape

    yeah back from my first workout session in 3 years.. i feel great...

    i did 5 minutes bike, 15 minutes of running (not fast, not slow) with a lap of walkin in between.. then hit the gym for 4 exercises of chest, each with 3 sets and 10 reps.. i think (at least just for this week) i'm gonna do a body part each day... and try to get up to at least 25 minutes of running...

    shit i forgot to weight myself.. will do that tomorrow..

    also been heating healthy too...and i can feel the difference...

    morning is cereal/milk (kinda healthy cereals too, not the ones with loads of sugar) lunch is usually turkey/roast beef sandwich, or subway 6", and dinners change as i've started cookin... sometimes it's pasta, or beef stew or shit like that...

    chest/legs...what? seems little weird...not to mention if you hit legs hard you are going to be too fucking tired to do anything else after that. i used to do legs/shoulders and it sucked. i just do legs only now.

    I started a log, do a TON of research online (not just on this forum), eat healthy, go to the gym routinely, and have a positive outlook on it. As for how you look, I used to weight 252 with a ton of fat and I've cut down quite a bit. When I would do bicep curls with the straight bar, my belly would poke so far out that I could almost not get the bar up and down without brushing against my belly and I felt really silly and pathetic trying. I had friends pushing me on and helping me keep it up. I kept at it and I've made improvements. I really do wish you the best and hope that you have a great time lifting! :) :wiggle:

    nothing wrong with benching on mondays if that your weakness

    Wonderboy: pick a routine and stick with it and add weights as you progress.

    aight, i'm gonna do that routine on the sticky.. although fridays look tough

    also when he says calves for those 2 days.. how many exercises? and abs too.. how long? just sit ups for like 5-10 minutes?
