    "Supes", not "soups"

To "supe" up a car means to make it more "super", and the term stems from "supercharging" from the 50's hot-rod era.

I hate it when I see this kind of verbiage in actual automotive publications.

Oh, and to help the thread...

I think the hood vents are shit, and so are the wheels. But I kinda like the front fascia and defintely what's under the hood.

What's up with the polarized headlights? What are they exactly? I think they look SWEET!

Hood louvers are ugly and the wheels are a little bling for a Corvette.

    All-in-all it's pretty nice.

That's really not bad. I like the side repeaters and Euro-spec reverse lamp treatment.

Yeah I'd want some sort of chain drive for longevity.

I'm thinking the C5 Z06 might actually go fast enough to require a wing. unlike everybody and their cousin who puts the tail of a 747 on the back of their civic.

The front bumper looks like it was ripped off a Civic. If you are going to aero out the front end, at least get it to follow the lines of the car.

thats kind of weak that they put a blower on a base C6 and it has less than 20 hp more than a Z06. now if they put a blower on a Z06, that would be sweet. and most of the exterior modifications look like shit. i think i would rather have a stock Z06.

i'd worry about a blown z06. 7 ltrs is already alot. i mean, that much bore and sleeves......would make me nervous. but i do dig the car

i concur to the max. Especially the wheels look like shit. This is a vette not a bling mobile Escalade or s-class. Also with a z06 you can add over a 100 hp for around 7 grand by buying long tube headers and then shipping you vette to lingenfelter where for like $5595 they will "pimp" your z06. For further information check out http://www.lingenfelter.com

Bizarre approach to the supercharger... but I guess it gets around the need for a bulge in the hood...

Its not bad for a stock motor LS2. The motor has something near the order of a 11:1 compression ratio on hypereutetic pistons. It wasnt built to be blown, at all. Any more boost would probably kill the cars reliability.

If you really want to make big hp numbers on a forced induction LS2, you'd need to tear it down, use forged internals and lower the compression.
