he should be charged with murder, and sentenced for at least 40 years.. not because he murdered someone, but because his stupidity should be locked up and not allowed to roam free

Thats horrible. I hope he gets charged with more then just 2 misdemeaners. I couldnt imagine having to point a live weapon (dummy round or not) at a fellow classmate.

someone should point a gun at his ass and see how he likes it. what a moron! Never point a gun at someone/something that you dont intend to shoot/destroy.

im sure he could be broken down so easily in the courtroom.
Prosec Attny: Do you follow the basic rule of gun safety, "Do not point a weapon loaded or unloaded at anything you do not wish to destroy"?
Sgt: Yes, I am aware of and follow that principle
PA: So, are you saying you intended to kill the trainee?
Sgt: Sobbing like a recruit at the first day of boot camp.

I think that they should get R. Lee Ermey as the attorney in any case surrounding this incident. he could totally destroy the entire mental composition of this sgt.

come to think of it, the Ol Gunny would make a DAMN good prosecuting attorney for scumbag cases like this all over the country. And even if he does push the line of courtroom behavior, what judge in their right mind dares to say anything?

DAMN!! Im going to watch full metal jacket now

It sucks that if this had been anyone besides a politician or a LEO that they would have been hung out to dry and the anti gun fucktards would have even more fuel for their fire. Since it's someone who "should" be able to carry a gun it gets swept under the rug.

He will be completely owned in civil court and I'd imagine mentally he's in pretty bad shape.

Now I know it sounds cold to say this, but what were the students thinking? It sounds like they knew better and let themselves get pushed into behaving poorly.
