So I'm installing Gentoo on my ThinkPad. I can connect to the internet from the Live CD, but when I chroot to the /mnt/gentoo, it won't work. The resolv.conf file is exactly the same, so I don't know what it is. I tried restarting the /etc/init.d/net.eth0, but it just hangs. I'm at a loss right now and it's making me really mad. I need to start emerging things, and I have no way to connect to the internet. I get an IP address and everything, but it won't work. If I try emerge --sync, it can calculate dependencies and get some information, but it can't download anything. Help!
