What's your opinion on these OSes? Personally, I think XP is the best OS we've seen from Microsoft - I've been using it since a few days after release, and I think it's easily the most stable, compatible OS they've come up with. Thoughts?

    P.S. No *nix nazi's please ;)

I'm a *nix nazi, but I don't mind the NT-based Windowses too much. I'm saying 2k, but I haven't had any experience with XP yet, and I hear it's very good.

I'm going with XP. Its just as stable as 2000 but has a lot more drivers built it since its a couple of years newer. I don't like all the telletubbies crap I set the colors and animations back to look like Win2k. But overall its a good OS.

I went straight from 98SE to XP and one of the things I enjoy most is not having to restart your computer everytime you change a network setting.
I'm not sure how Win2k is with this feature. :dunno:

I would have said 2000 > XP until last night - when my win2k machine fuxored itself for no apparent reason - probably a hardware problem but for the moment I am very anti-win2k

I love 2000 as a workstation and server OS. For home use, I prefer XP.
