I want some kakis for business casual purposes and can't decide between pleated and non pleated. I realize that if I'm trying to look "urban" chic, then I'd probably go with non-pleated, but in this case I want to look business casual. I want to look respectable and professional, so I'm thinking pleated is better...what to do?

    They are so out.

    Flat front = the win.

If you want to look professional, I'd go pleated.. but that's my personal taste. I like teh pleated khaki.

I have several pairs of pleated and non-pleated dress pants/khakis. According to my friend who works at Express, pleats are out, but I still like them, so I keep wearing them.

As a chubby man, I must wear pleated khakis.
    It's a requirement.

And also, I don't have the money to change up my wardrobe whenever trends change. Therefore, I will stick with my pleated dress pants, which have been in style for decades, and let the trendy types pay thousands of dollars every year to change up their wardrobes.

Agreed. I'll always wear pleats, no matter what the 'trend of the month' is.. Considering I have probably $2000+ worth of pleated slacks, khaki's, shorts, etc... and they still look good on me; I'll never switch to teh non-pleat.

I'll say it a million times - If it looks good, go with it. Fuck fashion trends..

I'm going to go with pleated. I already look young for my age, so I don't want to exacerbate the problem by wearing trendy, young looking stuff. I need respec!

Also, every pair of flat fronts I've found has been baggy. Baggy = teh lose.
