For those that don't know, Garry has the WPO world record total at 2805. People considered him to be finished in the sport and he comes out and destroys 926 on the bench. He is a true world class lifter.

His lifts for the 2805 were 1085 squat, 837 bench, and an 881 deadlift.

i wonder what his max raw is, he isnt like a shirt dependant gene... as he has a high deadlift and squat to back him up...2959 total for all his max lifts combined (not in a single meet)

I'm assuming its up there, he is a freakishly strong person in or out of gear... and one of the other scary things is, I'm reading stories that he was tested at this meet :eek3:

I knew he did it at AAPF Southern States, but you can always lift as a guest lifter... its sounding like he got tested.

And I'm not going to comment on your Gene comment in this thread... I've done it before and this thread is about The Man, not Gene

hopefully if he can get healthy enough... if he could put together a full meet I think he would break 2900. And from the sounds of it, he's plently healthy

He is capable of doing 1100/900/900 IMO

Thats so damn impressive. Out of curiosity does that fed require a start/rack command or is it just handoff... press call.. rack?

Not to start shit, because I don't think you're worth it, but Gene Rychlak has squatted a grand in competition back when he used to do full meets. Like them or not, these guys deserve respect and they're freakishly strong.

Gary Frank is a freak and is awesome.
