What an idiot
he should just be happy he has his hands
when are people going to learn not to shoot others reloads.
I mean fuck. No wonder "reloading" gets such a bad fucking name.
Never ever shoot reloads unless you made them. Simple enough but an expensive mistake.
I fucking love how someone will drop $1000 on a fucking rifle but will then buy the cheapest ammo they can find
That's why I love Mosins, I can drop $70 on a rifle and still shoot the cheapest ammunition available.
atleast it wasnt an original garand he destroyed.
It amazes me how many people over there are "OMG SUE!!"
in WMD it would be "you dumb fuck, sell all of your guns, but save one so you can kill yourself"
too bad darwin didn't have better aim.
it is clearly someone elses fault that he used reloads (in a fucking plastic bag at that!)
SOMEONE SHOULD PAY!
God I want to join that forum to troll
OK this might be a dumb question then, but at Fun Shows when you see a huge booth set up where guys have probably 10K+ rounds for sale and big, professional-looking signs up advertising their loads... you'd avoid them then?
i only buy commercially boxed and sealed loads
There's a place here in Texas called Collins Cartridge Company, they are licensed and not a fly-by-night operation. I would consider buying some of their pistol loads but that's about it for fun show reloads in my book.
I much prefer to roll my own or buy new stuff.
Generally speaking, yah. A lot of those guys are ammo traders, and not even the actual reloaders themselves. Most of them around here aren't even FFLs (which you need to sell your own reloaded ammo).
Reloading ammo isn't rocket science, but it's no joke either; you can really fuck shit up playing around. There's only half a handful of people who's ammo I trust in my guns, and these guys are pretty much all the ones who taught me how to do it.
Probably had a glock barrel
Ive had a garand disassemble in my hands, but not like that. I just had the trigger group drop out.
I bet that will give you a flinch.
Dallas Reloading Supplies is at most if the Texas gun shows I've been to. I've bought and shot over a thousand rounds of .223 for my ARs from them. Not a single problem and I'll probably buy more tomorrow (Dallas Market Hall show is today and tomorrow).
Surplus is usually fine.
I won't say "stay away from ALL reloads" but just make sure you know/trust the reloader. I will only fire my own, or people's that I have known for a long time and know there work.
You just don't want to find out the hard way that somebody screwed up.
What a dumb ass. First, he has been wanting a Garand for years and decides to one of the piles of shit S/A threw together with non usgi parts and sold for ridiculous prices. Then he decides to shoot 165gr RELOADS through it. For someone who has been looking for a Garand since the 1990's, he sure didn't do much research.
