Gaming on the 24" iMac?

    Gaming on the 24" iMac?

    • 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
    • 2GB 667MHz DDR2 SDRAM - 2x1GB
    • 320GB Serial ATA Drive
    • SuperDrive 8x (DVD±R DL/DVD±RW/CD-RW)
    • ATI Radeon HD 2600 PRO with 256MB memory
    How would it run Crysis in 32bit XP? :mamoru:

    Might do. It's not a great card by any means. My X1950 Pro is a better card and with almost the same specs i get around 40fps on medium. So, you could run it, but it's not gonna look good.

    Mac owners don't play games... they are too busy not knowing how to use normal computers...

    Not well. With some tweaking, latest drivers etc you might be able to play it at an average 15FPS or so at 1024x768 rsolution.

    thats why i didnt get one. too lazy to build another pc so i'm getting an xbox360 :o

    I am playing on my Macbook pro (2.16 CD, X1600, 2GB RAM) and with ATI tools for overclocking, and a custom system.cfg file I get about ~12-15fps. So I would think that the iMac would play a little better.
