DLC that you have to pay for should be boycotted. Biggest rip off ever. I can understand if it's a huge expansion several months after the game came out but this is original game content they just cut out from the main game. You have to pay extra money for the full game at release

IDK I'd imagine as gamefly expands they'd need to order more copies. More copies for gamely=copies sold.

But alas Gamefly still doesn't understand their subscriber base and still comes up short.

the game was delayed, this DLC was done on a different budget than the original game. If you don't like/want the DLC don't buy it?!

I really dont get why people get so fuckin pissed off at this? IF YOU DONT WANT IT DONT BUY IT.

"Idiot Consumers" will pay for GOOD content, and if the DLC is just that, good additionall content then yeah I'll be buying it - dragon age should be a great game with 100's of hours of content in just the stock game alone.

Most of the EA Sports shit this year is being released with $20+ worth of DLC dropped on the same day.

Still think RE5 Multiplayer being on the same disc and paying to unlock it is even lower.

But get used to it, as long as people will buy it they'll keep making it.

How does it feel to have the 5 year olds who don't understand how things used to be ruin everything you loved about video games?

All DLC should be free if you buy the game new. Just give a code that only works once but gives your account access to all future DLC. Renting problem marginalized without going over the line.

It is already inside the game. You download the code to unlock it. :greddy:

I don't see anything wrong with this.

You just paid 60 bucks for a game that, even if you blow threw it will still give you 40 hours of gameplay. If you are a completest try close to 80 hours of gameplay.

It is a lot of work to make a full "complete" experience and to have DLC on day one is actually a good idea. This allows the developers some time off since they already have extra content for those gamers who finish the main game quickly.. We have already been given (from the reviews, previews, and a 20 minutes play session with the game I had) a lot and most developers wouldn't even dream of giving you this much content for a 60 dollar price tag.

All in all, I truthfully do not see what all the fuss is about. When I've completed the game I'll then purchase the DLC, even though it came out on day one I probably won't buy it for a month. I do not see anything unethical with their business decision here. Do you know how many companies withhold content on purpose from a game so they can later release it as a DLC or an expansion...this is not anything new or crazy. Your pissed purely because of the release date, but in truth they could of just released it two months from now...and you would of never been the wiser. The original game would still be a complete game, with a full experience, etc.

And that is my two cents...

The thing is, it's not an expansion... it's basically the game "ready" for release and them saying "hey let's not include this level / area / character and instead make them pay extra to unlock it."

...which is different than releasing a full game and later on down the road developing new content in order to expand on the original.

What you idiots dont get, is that in alot of cases they are charging extra for content that normally would have been on the original product say a few years ago.

You call it fair game, i call it a ripp off. To each is own

Yes because instead of getting 65 hours of gameplay you only get 60 hours of gameplay, give me a fucking break.
