i bailed on the online checkout because the quickest shipping option was ups overnight but in parentheses it said "one business day processing, one business day shipping". :ugh2:

not sure why everyone has problems with gamestop pre-orders, i've been doing it for years and at different gamestops, never had one problem with a preorder, don't order it online though from them, you'll get it the day or two after it hits the store, such a waste of money/time

I've ordered online through gamestop long before I worked there. You get the game the same day as release. :dunno: Sometimes even a day earlier. Stores get the game (generally) a week or two before the release. The warehouses get them up to a month before release.

Dem niggas gotta make some ends too, you know.

I buy my games at Best Buy or order it online. I will almost never go to a Gamestop, let alone buy any titles from them.

it wasn't the shipping amt that i was worried about...it was the amount of time it would possibly take to receive the game title.

i dont see the problem either. its not like you are somehow spending more money or anything... i got about 10 games on preorder right now. i like the ability to pick up my games at any point that day or the next few days if need be, and not have to worry about not getting a copy. :dunno:

I really don't see why you wouldn't get your game at the day of release. That's one of Gamestop's core beliefs: Preorder the game to get it on release day.

i have preordered before but never online. i'm just lazy and would prefer doing it online unless i know that i probably won't get the game until after release date. in that case, i'll just carry my lazy ass up to the store and preorder. :o

I don't see why their onsite policy wouldn't translate to their online site.

Yeah you're reading it right. However, my original statement stands.

You COULD also read it as 1 day to process and then another day to ship. Since the warehouse already has the game (assume for the moment), you SHOULD get it on release day (sent up to 2 days before release). However, since I do not purchase games from Gamestop or their online store, I cannot be 100% sure. Call customer service and see what they say.

Something about creating false demand for games. The DM couldn't understand how a part-timer getting around 10 hours a week could afford to buy so many games.

They giving anything good for pre-ordering? I only pre-order if you get something otherwise I'll just walk into Game Stop on the release day and buy a copy of the game if I want it.
