i mean it doesn't have to be like braid.. but you know kinda small and lightweight for the pc.. and just fun... any game that is fun and that doesn't take as much resource as crysis

Most independent games are cool, Braid being one of them. Check out the 'Indie' sections of Steam or D2D for a list of cool, similar games. I guess it's easier for independent developers to take risks with new gameplay ideas, compared to huge studios sinking a shitload of money into one game.

Plants vs. Zombies is a snoozefest, although 99% of OT disagrees

That's like asking us to name a cyclist like Lance Armstrong.

Portal is similar in terms of originality and brilliance in writing. Nothing else really comes close unless by "like Braid" you mean 'sidescrolling platformer with puzzle elements' instead of 'one of the most unique games with clever writing made in the past few years'.

:ugh: Well that's weird, seems like everyone above you was able to comprehend the simple request.

Trine was awesome, played/beat it 2 weeks ago. Check steam, you'll find a huge list of them in there.

You seem to have completely missed my point. None of those games are even remotely close to Braid in terms of brilliance as far as I am concerned. I've tried Trine and it is a side-scrolling platformer with puzzle elements like Braid, but Braid is on a whole other tier. I can name plenty of people who have competed in the Tour de France, but that does not make them anything like Lance Armstrong.

In fact, it looks like the posts you're referring to agree with my statement as well:
