I've been thinking about trying the Gamefly free trial, however I don't want to get fucked over during the trial and not be able to cancel until I get charged. For those of you who have used the Gamefly free trial, towards the end of the free trial do they just let you cancel without being charged or do they pull some sneaky shit and charge you for the next month before letting you cancel? Any input would be appreciated I'd love to try Gamefly I just want to find out if it's worth paying for without being charged because my checking account is bottomed out until mid/late January and the last thing I need is for them to charge me unexpectedly and send my account into negative balance.

I can tell you from experience that it is worth checking out if you have the time for the games. Plus, there is no expected return date. Keep it for awhile if you're still working on something.

The only thing I'm sketched about is the 10-day free trial. Is 10 days enough for me to rent and return a game without getting charged? I'm all for paying for the service I just won't have the money to pay for it for at least another 10 days and in the case I'm unable to pay for the service by the end of my free trial I'd want to be sure that I can simply cancel the trial without getting charged and reactivate the subcription once I have money in my account.

Why don't you just wait til you have the money. It takes one - three days from a dis location to your house. If its one or two days after your 10 day trial and they recieve it, they'll probably credit the money back assuming you called them.

But if you're worried about the cash, I'd wait.

I'm actually very non-Jewish, which is why I have fifteen dollars left in my bank account until my next pay check which is about ten days away. I've never heard of subscribing to Gamefly on Ebay but Gamefly is like 22 dollars a month which I don't have right now. Thanks for the non-helpful reply, is there really no one on here who used the Gamefly free trial?

seems like you have bigger issues than playing video games.

but yeah, renting w/gamefly beats paying for games hands down. pays for itself after it's first use in my opinion. especially since 90% of these 'next gen' games lack replay value.

depending on where you live, 10 days doesn't really sound like enough time to me

Although they have been pretty shitty for me lately so it might be better for you :dunno:

It takes a while to get your games and shit. Usually about 5-7 days, or at least it did for me. That's round trip. Sometimes it would be almost 10 days, I enjoyed it but I don't have time to play the games like I would like to get my monies worth.

really depends on how far you are away from their shipping locations.

for me I am close to the pittsburgh location and i sometimes get the games in 2 days. typically it is 2-3 days. certainly worth the $.

I'm close to the Pittsburgh one but it still takes 2-3 days each 35 minute trip

If you're gonna do it do the 30 day 2 game one for 10 bucks off first month
