Gaining weight, budget style.

    To skip all the bullshit, I want some advice on gaining weight without having to eat 40 steaks a day. Been thin all my life and nothing has ever let me gain even a pound. If somebody comes up with the solution, there is nothing saying there won't be a reward for it. gogogo

    Get a rice cooker. Cook a bunch of rice. Bake a bunch of chicken at once. Consume large quantities every 3-4 hours.

    Buy some tupperware, brown rice, tuna, olive oil, and spices. Put servings of each in a few tupperware, microwave, and eat throughout the day. Good nutrition, easy to make, and kinda sorta tastes alright.

    When i tell you i can't gain a pound. I went on a cruise, had 4 squares a day with snacks in between (snacks being pizza/burgers/hotdogs) for 7 days straight. More than I had ever eaten in my life. Got back and weighed myself, not a pound increase.

    Ok, so I think I'm gonna take the gainer i have, mix it with a half gallon or gallon of milk and bring that to work along with a huge tuperware container of rice and steak/chicken and just pound on that for a week straight and see if at least gain an ounce or two.

    Don't just give up after a week. I was on a cruise this summer and ate my ass off too and didn't gain shit.

    I can make myself gain wait though, you gotta eat big and lift heavy. I went from 185 to 260 in a little over a year. I bet you only eat once or twice a day usually.

    not currently. i just quit smoking and want to start running/lifting more. just have to plan out a schedule. and the fact that i'm exercise shy and don't like going to gyms doesn't help :hs:

    you can eat all you want, but if your the type of guy that has a hard time gaining weight then it's going to be impossible without getting into the gym. Hell my freshman year I was trying to gain weight, even got the freedom meal pass (which essentially ment I could eat however many times I wanted whenever I wanted at the dining halls) and I only gained 3 pounds..... a few short of the freshman 15

    That's pretty skinny. I was at 185 and I'm 6'6" so I feel ya.

    You really should get in a gym and start eating like a man. I was eating 10 meals a day, over 5000 cals/day. I would stay FULL almost all day long, the first and last thing I did was eat every day. I was working 12 hour shifts in a warehouse at nights at the time too and I made the time to eat. It can be done.
