Gained 13lbs!!

    WOOhOOOO!!!!!

    I took all your guys advice and Im finally gaining!!!! I weighed 125lbs 2wks ago, I now weigh 138lbs!!!

    I've been eating 5 times a day, plus my protein shakes; 1 when I wake up another 4-6hrs later or after workout and another one before bed, plus snacking on almonds, beef jerky, and instant oatmeal in between meals.

    I am getting 4 meals a day plus 1 1/2 shakes. I dont think its enough

    If not. Do what I do. Do 5 meals and 3 protein shakes. Dont forget to snack on something inbetween meals.

    Not only am I gaining, but I've been feeling stronger and more energetic throughout the day. Especially when I am weight training. It's like I have this burst of energy. My goal is 155-160lbs. :x: :x:



    But anyways, I have to get back to studying and homework. Just wanted to share the good news.

    Don't go too fast or you'll get fat. 1-1.5 pound per week should be what you're aiming for.

    Yes. I've added about 10lbs more and it also depends on what I eat before I workout. If I eat something clean, like say fruits, chicken breast, steam veggies I have more energy than if I eat something dirty like from Carls jr. or McDonalds. But eating clean can get very expensive, especially for a poor college guy like me. So I try to eat as clean as possible. Not always though. :hs:

    Wow didnt know that. I'll see how it goes. If it looks like I am gaining fat, i'd probably cut or lighten up on my meals.

    are you weighing yourself like right after dinner or something? you weighing yourself roughly the same time everyday (morning)?

    not all of it is water weight mind you, but "real" weight in this sense is a lot less than you thought

    No. I weigh myself when I get home from work. I work graveyard so that'll be around 7am. I dont weigh myself everyday. The last time I weighed myself was 2wks ago, same time. It could be water weight like others have mentioned, who knows...I'll weigh myself again this morning and post up the numbers.

    sadly this may be the case though... first month of bulking i gained 10lb..
    im on my third month right now and only gaining 1lb a week at most. it gets harder, but keep eating.

    Ok. Just got home from work, and just weighed myself. I'm at 136lbs. Not to shabby. :) The last time I had something to snack on was at 5am (ceasar side salad from Wendys), which was 2hrs ago, and the last time I had a glass of water was at 6am.

    ya make sure u havnt had a meal in a while before you weigh urself.
    I also jus started up again, gained 4 pounds in 1-2 weeks, usually just weigh myself before i eat anythign in the morning

    There isn't really anything wrong with having eaten before weighting yourself... I guess you weight yourself more the gauge your progress. Your weight isn't an "end-all"...

    The most important thing is that no matter when you weight yourself, the circumstances are the same as the other times you weighted yourself.

    First thing in the morning before eating, after peeing in your boxers only? Perfect.

    It might be easier for you to see how much progress you make by weighting yourself when you haven't eaten anything after peeing because that way you pretty much only weigh your "Real" weight.

    That being said, if you can ensure that when you weight yourself you always have the same amount of food/pee in you then that's okay too.

    Hey thanks for the info. I just hope its not all water weight and food. That would suck. I'll try again when I get up.
