Run by DicksSportingGoods... 9.56/20 of Remington/UMC. Ah, no thanks, that's still too high to even justify buying to use on my points card. And not like they had a surplus going anywaz. Maybe about 7-8 boxes and then several boxes of 45 gr varment type load. hmm Ultramax 150rnd value pack.... $45 Sure, I'll take the ONLY box.

Drove past GanderMountain. It's pointless to consider. I think they charge to park there now.

WalMart -- 6 boxes of Remington/UMC for 7.56/box. *sigh* Fine I'll buy them.

All I wanted was to plink for a while until some good stuff finally shipped. :sadwavey:

Online or load your own. That's way too expensive, nowadays. It's worst than gasoline.

I remember being in a pinch on the way to the range not more than 3-5 years ago, and having to swallow my pride and buy XM193's for... gasp... $3.79 a box of 20.

    Gone are those days.

I've priced some cheap plinking ammo online and still waiting to hit 'Add to Cart' on some of the nicer ammo.

But I know if I don't click it soon, it'll just end up going higher in price next month.

I never really concerned myself with reloading when I was into pistols. BUt hell, .223 is rediculous.

any gun stores sell any surplus ammo?

One of the local ones down here sells some occasional surplus for hella cheap whenever he gets it in.

but wallyworld is def the best local bet if you cant find it cheaper around town

My father uses Ultramax reloads w/ 50gr. Nosler ballistic tips for his AR-15 for prairie dogs. He swears by them. Claims they explode them the best.

I found someone who is selling BMG rounds for $250 per hundred. :hsd:

He has 500 to sell. I'd like to get 300.:hs:

But at least that would last a long time and I'll have plenty of brass to reload.

250 per hundred seems like a steal

I just bought 3 boxes (20rds) of WOLF FMJ 55g .223 for $5.99/box at Gander.

Just going to sight in a new scope this weekend.... if it gets here before then.

Nowadays, 250 is a steal unless you're reloading.

Back in 02, it was 115 per hundred and that was the going rate. If you bought a can of 150, it started getting even cheaper.
